The University of Louisville is proud to serve as the academic base for students from more than 83 countries around the world. Through online programs at UofL, students can receive quality education without ever entering a traditional classroom.
The directions below are specific to international students completing an academic program from their home country. Online programs at the University of Louisville do not have campus requirements. International students do not need a U.S. visa to enroll in an online program as the programs can be completed from anywhere outside the U.S. The University of Louisville complies with economic sanctions programs administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). Applications for admission and funding plans may be subject to additional review to ensure ongoing compliance with these requirements. Access to University of Louisville campus systems, services, and courses from countries or regions subject to economic and/or trade sanctions by OFAC or other authorities may be restricted. For a list of current OFAC sanctions, please visit this OFAC site. Contact the Distance Education Compliance Manager at deregs@louisville.edu for further guidance on OFAC sanctions and restrictions.
If you plan to enter the U.S. for coursework or for graduation, visit the undergraduate admissions or graduate admissions website for a list of specific requirements for visiting the U.S.
