Web Version

The web version of Acland's Video Atlas of Human Anatomy enables institutions to place the complete body of work on their servers, allowing multiple users simultaneous access to the content. All six volumes of the video atlas are included-upper limb, lower limb, trunk, head and neck 1 and 2, and internal organs-encompassing a total run time of more than 16 hours. The format and image size are compatible with hand held devices including PDAs.
FEATURES:
High quality web video: The series has been rendered in high quality video, allowing simultaneous access by multiple users without degrading the institution's server performance. Footage has been segmented into intervals no longer than 10 minutes. The data rate is capped at 200kbs to minimize the burden on network servers.

Easy Navigation: A comprehensive index and table of contents, shown here allows users to search quickly and easily for key terms or concepts across all six video segments.
Notes for the Webmaster: All files for the program are contained in one directory on one DVD-R disk. In total these files require 1.5 gigabytes of disc space and should be copied to a single location on the institution's web server taking care to preserve the directory structure. A streaming server is not required. Users will need broadband connectivity that can support a 200 kilobit per second stream. The only software requirement for each end user's computer is an up to date version of Windows Media player.
The Streaming version of the Video Atlas is published by Lippincott, Williams and Wilkins. For further information, on the Publisher's website.
