Request Roving IP Address

Requests for "roving" IP addresses for laptop/notebook (portable) PCs are processed through IT Communication Services by submission of a work order (formerly the Telephone/Data Service Request Form).

How to request a roving IP Address:

Access the work order and enter the necessary information, including:

• The 12-digit hexadecimal hardware (MAC) address of the new network interface card (NIC).
• The "home" department/location of the PC.
• The areas in which the PC will need network access. The number of areas in which the PC will have access must be few.
• The full name of the user of the machine, or responsible person if the machine is of common use within a unit.
