Sprint spam filtering utilizes a three layer blocking technology:

  • custom blacklists

  • rules-based screening

  • fingerprinting

The solution, a partnership between Sprint and the University of Louisville, will quarantine suspect mail outside of UofL systems to prevent overload of individual email boxes and university email resources. You will be able to view, salvage, delete and report mail as false positive.

Any mail in the spam quarantine which has not been acted upon will be automatically deleted after 15 days. Once deleted, it cannot be retrieved. Therefore, we encourage everyone to review their quarantined email on a regular basis.

What do I need to do?

Your spam will be automatically filtered. You will however want to check the spam quarantine to ensure that no legitimate messages have been incorrectly reported as spam.  Spam still being delivered to your desktop, can be forwarded to abuse@global.sprint.com

Your ULink password will not work work with Sprint's spam filtering solution. To ensure that you are able to check filtered mail you will need to complete the following steps:

  1. To set up and configure Spam filtering please click here: Spam Filtering Setup Demo or  Spam Filtering Instructions
