Resolving Listserv Problems
How to resolve the problems with LISTSERV and the email router
If you use the PEA process to add or change your email nickname, a listserv may no longer recognize you as a registered member. This situation is a lot like moving to a new email address without telling anybody (who might email you) beforehand. The solution is to unsubscribe from the listserv(s) and resubscribe under the new nickname.
Procedure
- Ask the owner of the listserv to unsubscribe your old (blah@gwise.louisville) address.
- Follow the normal listserv instructions for subscribing to the list under the new email address (nickname@louisville.edu) (For more detail on how to subscribe to a listserv, ask the list owner or see the listserv documentation at http://uofl.louisville.edu/it/listserv/)
