Workstation Replacement Program

The UofL Workstation Replacement Program was created to assist units to replace their desktop computer technology on a systematic basis, and as a way to make computer ownership more affordable. Under this program, the University will finance departmental computers for a period of 2 or 3 years. Departments can establish a technology budget and plan for regular replacements by building the costs into their continuing (CAR) budget.

Cost

Interest free financing is provided for participants in the program. The only fees associated with the program are a 1% administrative support fee, and a one-time delivery and set-up fee of $65.00.

How to Participate

This program can be used for a single computer or for groups such as in a lab.

  • To sign up, send an e-mail to the service account helpdesk@louisville.edu or call 852-4318.
  • If you already know the computer configuration you need, a quote will be provided to you from the University vendor of your choice. If you are unclear on your specific needs, assistance in making that decision is available.
  • Once you have approved the quote, a final agreement will be e-mailed to you --- you will need to complete the account information, sign and return to Miller Information Technology Center (MITC) Room 109 Attn: Workstation Replacement Program.
  • You may also fax the quote back to 852-7013.
