SUS (Software Update Services) automatically downloads operating system updates for you and alerts you that an update is ready to install. SUS is the preferred University method for operating system updates to your computer. The IT department tests each update before sending it to your computer to be installed. These updates and verified, tested, and available at no charge to the University.

To install SUS open NAL (Novell Application Launcher), click on the UofL Tree, click on Utilities and Plug-Ins, open the SUS-Read me file. Once you open the read me file then click on the install link SUS will install the necessary updates for you. SUS also allows you to view the SUS-View log that will provide the date and time of any update that have been completed.
