Internet Acceptable Use Policy
Guidelines for users of the University's Internet services
Internet service is provided to the University under the terms and conditions of an Acceptable Use Policy from the service provider. An Internet connection can be used to access information and other services outside the control of either the University of the Vendor. The Acceptable Use policy provides the guidelines for the conduct and activities that are permitted on the Internet, as well as activities (such as hacking and spamming) that may be illegal or are prohibited due to an impact on security and privacy.
The University's Internet service is currently provided through the Kentucky Postsecondary Educaton Network (KPEN) and the KPEN vendor, Windstream. The Windstream Internet Acceptable Use policy is available on the web at http://www2.windstream.net/customersupport/usersguide/accept/accept.html.
