Information Technology Virus Protection provides the monitoring, incident logging, and response coordination necessary for the detection, elimination, and recovery from various forms of attack on university resources. Currently, this entails intrusion detection and virus protection.

Network Monitoring

Includes the monitoring of the university's Internet connection (for denial of service attacks), bandwidth utilization, and specific suspected security events.

Virus Protection

Provides the mechanism and methodology for virus detection, protection, and elimination for all computers associated with the university.

• Symantec Antivirus is available for "At work", "At home", Server, and handheld installations.
  
• This product as well as a Virus Fix is available on CD or as a free download at the IT Store. This download includes the installation for both the DSL/Cable, on-campus and also Dial-Up modem users.
  
• Before installing any new version of antivirus software it is neccessary to uninstall any current antivirus software installed on your computer. For instructions please click here.
