One of the biggest problems for our Resident students is the high levels of computer virus infections. This occurs for two reasons; we have high speed connections which allow the viruses to spread quickly, and because too many students are unsure of what is necessary to properly protect their computers.

When students first connect to the Internet in the on campus Resident Halls the Res-Net Connection Protection service will guide them through the process necessary to get their machine properly protected. This service will include instructions for updating all the Microsoft security patches as well as virus protection. Res-Net Connection Protection will reduce the risk of infections, loss of data and costly computer repairs.
