Android 4.0+ Samsung Galaxy Nexus O/S Wireless Setup

This short guide contains step-by-step instructions on how to connect your Android 4.0+ and up device to the University of Louisville's secure wireless network "ulsecure". Note: Screen shots were taken from a Samsung Galaxy Nexus, some may vary depending on your device



1. Start at your home screen and touch Apps

2. Touch Settings

3. Touch to turn Wi-Fi on

4.  Touch Wi-Fi

5. Touch ulsecure under Wi-Fi

6.  In the settings screen that appears, make sure your settings match the following:

  • EAP method: PEAP
  • Phase 2 authentication: MSCHAPv2
  • CA certificate: N/A
  • User certificate: N/A
  • Identity: ULink username
  • Anonymous Identity: ULink username
  • Password: ULink password
  • Proxy Settings: None
  • IP settings: DHCP

7. If everything is setup correctly then you should see Connected
