Text messaging and "loudspeaker" type voice and text messages over university phones were put in place Friday to alert the campus community in the event of an emergency. To opt-in you will need to use your UofL userid and UofL password. Since the opt-in process will generate an immediate verification to your cell phone, it is a good idea to have you phone handy when you opt-in.  If you experience problems with the opt in process contact the University of Louisville Helpdesk at 852-7997 or helpdesk@louisville.edu .
