New iTech Xpress Store to Open in MITC August 20
Information Technology will have a grand opening for ITech Xpress in the Miller Information Technology Center (MITC) lower level, Aug. 20-24. The shop will combine the services of the former MITC Copy Center and ITs Software Resales to provide more products and services. Items will be sold at discounted prices to UofL students, faculty and staff. Refreshments will be served Monday through Thursday at 11:30 a.m. and prize drawings each day at noon, 12:30, 1, 1:30 and 2 p.m.

New Password Policy Effective Beginning January 2008
Under the new policy, your ULink password must have a minimum length of eight (8) characters including at least one numeric character and at least one special character (e.g. &, *, $, etc).
Reminder: IT to retire Homer Unix System on December 14
On December 14, 2007 Information Technology will retire the Homer Unix system (homer.louisville.edu) which has been used for research and email file storage.
Reminder: ListServ Upgrades Scheduled December 14
On December 14, 2007 the LISTSERV software used for maintaining electronic mailing lists is scheduled for an upgrade during IT’s regularly scheduled preventive maintenance period.
