Windows XP Wireless Quick Setup Guide
- Go to the Start menu Click Start > Connect to > Wireless Network
Connections.
- Then, click on the Change advanced settings listed under the “Related
Tasks” menu on the left side of the window. You should see at least two
tabs: General and Wireless Networks.
- Click the Wireless Networks tab. Check Use Windows to configure my
wireless network settings and then click Add.
- Type ulsecure under Network name (SSID) and select WPA2 Enterprise for
Network Authentication and AES for Data Encryption.
- Click the Authentication tab and select PEAP as the EAP type.
- Click on the Properties button and verify that the Validate Server
Certificate box is checked.
- Under Select Authentication Method, verify that Secured Password
(EAP-MSCHAP v2) is selected, if not use the drop down menu to select
this setting, and then click the Configure button, and make sure that
the check box to “Automatically use my Win-dows logon name and password”
is unchecked.
- Click OK in the last window and all of the remaining windows.
- Click on the message pop up at the lower right corner of your desktop
that says Wire-less Network Connection.
- The Enter Credentials window will appear, enter your ULINK username and
password and leave the "Logon Domain" field empty and click ok.
- Another Wireless Network Connection bubble will appear, click on it and a
Validate Server Certificate will appear, click on the OK button.
- The connection should be established soon after this process is
completed however you may have to wait a moment for the validation to
occur in your system tray.
