Meet Lexius Yarbrough
- CURRENT POSITION: Student Development Counselor—Metropolitan College
- RESPONSIBILITIES: In my current role as a Student Development Counselor, I am primarily responsible for assisting students in the Metropolitan College. Participating students work nights at UPS and get their full-time undergraduate tuition paid to the University of Louisville or Jefferson Community & Technical College as well as book reimbursement money, bonuses and other benefits. The most rewarding part about my current position is my ability to connect with students from various backgrounds and provide an opportunity to help them remove any barriers that these students may encounter in receiving access to their education.
- WHY I JOINED YEP: I became involved with the UofL Young and Emerging Professionals to make campus connections and become engaged with the UofL campus community.
- BEST CAREER ADVICE: I would say that the best career advice I have ever received is "Go Home! The work will always be there tomorrow."
