What will I be researching: I will be working with Dr. Joseph Calvin Kouokam to research the human lung carcinogen Hexavalent chromium [Cr(VI)]. Specifically, we will be experimenting to determine if betanin could be used as an antioxidant to alleviate lung inflammation caused by Cr(VI).
- Future goals: To become a physician

Interest/Hobby: I dance for the University of Pikeville and am UPIKE Dance Team captain. This year, the UPIKE dance team placed second at the Midsouth Conference competition. I have been a dancer since I was three years old. I previously danced for Dance Etc. Senior Elite All-Star Competition Team, placing third at the Dance Worlds Championship at the ESPN Sports Complex in Disney World.
