Fire Safety and Code Compliance Inspections

 

All University of Louisville properties are subject to scheduled and/or random inspections by the University of Louisville Fire Marshal and/or the Kentucky State Fire Marshal's Office in accordance with the National Fire Protection Association Fire Code NFPA 1 and the Life Safety Code NFPA 101, and all applicable codes and standards in effect at the time of construction and/or approval. Fire protection equipment is tested in accordance with the Fire Code, NFPA 1 and Life Safety Code, NFPA 101. Fire safety Inspections are conducted more frequently in high use campus facilities to insure compliance. Fire safety inspections, complaints and concerns are taken seriously and are followed up in a prompt and professional manner.
