As part of their training, University of Louisville School of Dentistry DMD and dental hygiene students rotate through externship sites across the state, including rural areas and underserved area of Louisville. This month, the first group of DMD students started their externship at a new externship site in Paducah: the UofL Dental clinic on the campus of West Kentucky Community and Technical College. This partnership between UofL and WKCTC allows students from both institutions to work together in a dental clinic, while providing services to residents of the Jackson Purchase region.
