Lin wins Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry Hickey Scientific Writing Award

Wei-Shao Lin, D.D.S.

Wei-Shao Lin, D.D.S., associate professor in the Division of Prosthodontics, Department of Oral Health & Rehabilitation, has won the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry's 2015 Judson C. Hickey Scientific Writing Award in the Clinical Report Category, as the article’s corresponding author.

Lin was selected for his article entitled “Maxillary and mandibular immediately loaded implant-supported interim complete fixed dental prostheses on immediately placed dental implants with a digital approach: A clinical report”. Along with a certificate, Lin will receive a cash award of $1500. In addition to Lin, the article was a result of a collective effort between resident Ryan C. Lewis, D.M.D., 2015 graduate, and faculty Bryan T. Harris, D.M.D. in the Advanced Education in Prosthodontics Program, Department of Oral Health & Rehabilitation.

The Editorial Council Grants & Awards Committee reviews all articles published in the journal over a one-year time period prior to making the final selection. This award honors Dr. Hickey’s distinguished career as Editor of The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry and his contributions to dental education, research, and administration.
