NOTICE: Regulations Governing the Inspection of the Public Records of the

University of Louisville


Pursuant to KRS 61.870 to 61.884, the public is notified that, as provided herein, the public records of the University of Louisville are open for inspection by any person on written application to the open records team, whose address is 206 Grawemeyer Hall, Belknap Campus, University of Louisville, Louisville KY 40292, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, each week, except holidays.

Application forms for the inspection of the records of a particular office or department will be furnished on request. Assistance in completing the form will be provided on request. Applicants may write their own letter and not use the form.

Applicants for the inspection of public records shall be notified in writing by the open records team, not later than five (5) business days after receipt of an application of the availability of the records requested or of any reason they are not available for inspection.

Copies of written material in the public records of an office shall be furnished to any person requesting them on payment of a fee of ten cents ($.10) a page; copies of non-written records (photographs, maps, material stored in computer files, etc.) shall be furnished on request on payment of a charge equal to the actual cost of producing copies of such records by the most economic process not likely to damage or alter the record.
