Children's Hospital Foundation Chair for Pediatric Research

Children's Hospital Foundation established this chair in pediatric research, which was matched by the state's Research Challenge Trust Fund, during the bicentennial campaign. The chair holder occupies the positions of vice chair for research in the Department of Pediatrics and director of the Kosair Children's Hospital Research Institute.

The goal of the Children's Hospital Foundation is to make available the best possible medical care to children in Kentucky, southern Indiana and across the nation.

The foundation has been a major benefactor of the School of Medicine. Through its support and the cooperation of Kosair Children's Hospital, U of L has established a nationally recognized pediatric residency program.
