This endowment was funded by the Edith and Henry Heuser Hearing Institute. It supports a practicing physician who is a translational researcher specializing in hearing, deafness and related areas.

Edith and Henry Heuser owned Henry Vogt Machine Co., one of the oldest manufacturing firms in Louisville. Their son, Henry Vogt Heuser Jr., is president and CEO of the company. He created the Henry V. Heuser Jr. Scholarship Fund, which is awarded to outstanding students in the College of Business.
