The Endowed Chair in Civil Infrastructure was established through a
gift by the estate of Ms. Florence Lutz, a 1932 graduate of the
University of Louisville, and matched by the Research Challenge Trust
Fund.
The chair funds a researcher in the area of Biomedical Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems, called Biomems.
