Dr. Rabin at work

My primary role in the department is as an instructor, mostly in the undergraduate core classes. My teaching and research interests are in the fields of Microbiology, Immunology, and Pedagogy.>

I teach Introductory Biology for majors (Biol 240) and non-majors (Biol 102), Microbiology lecture and lab for non-majors/pre-nursing students (Biol 257/258), and Immunology (Biol 480).

I am collaborating with professors in the Department of English and the College of Education as well as teachers at Marion C. Moore Middle School to help 6th -8 th grade students from around the world develop a greater understanding of the local and global impacts of climate change. This investigation includes but goes beyond conventional data to includethe physical, economic, social, cultural, and political impacts of climate change. As part of this project, we host a Day of Science at University of Louisville each winter with graduate students and faculty from the departments of Biology, Geography & Geosciences, and Sociology.
