Faculty Senate Planning & Budget Committee Report

The Planning & Budget Committee did not meet in July or August.

We received the updated proposal for the Commonwealth Institute of Kentucky on July 30.  This is an institute that would facilitate and centralize efforts aimed at Public Health research and dissemination, supported initially with a grant from KentuckyOne Health.  We are providing the primary review of this proposal, with assistance from APC.  The updated proposal was forwarded to all members of the Planning & Budget Committee with request for comments.  We will discuss at our first meeting for the new academic year.

We are currently in the process of using a Doodle poll to help establish the date and time for the first Planning & Budget Committee meeting of the 2015-2016 academic year.  At the first meeting, we expect to elect a new Chair for the committee and receive our charge.
