Mary Ann Campbell
Mary Ann Campbell is a Program Assistant in the Center for Military-Connected Students at the University of Louisville (UofL). Mary Ann was born at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Her father was career Army serving 20+ years and was a veteran of World War II and Korea. Mary Ann has worked at the University of Louisville for 30 years. She is a two-time UofL graduate, earning an A.A. in Paralegal Studies and a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership and Learning. Her entire time at UofL has been at Fort Knox. Mary Ann has a sister and brother-in-law who also served over 20 years in the Army. She is single and lives in Radcliff, KY. In spare time, she enjoys going to the movies (anything with Brad Pitt) and spending time with friends.

Dakota Walker
Dakota Walker is the Assistant Director of the Center for Military-Connected Students at the University of Louisville, with duty location at the Fort Knox Education Center. He spent 16 years in the Kentucky Army National Guard, including a combat deployment to Iraq and a tour of duty with the University of Louisville Army ROTC program for three years. He is a two-time graduate of the University of Louisville with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education and a Master of Education. He taught High School Government and Economics for four years before completing eight years of Active-Duty Orders. He and his wife live in Glendale, KY, with their one daughter.

Carissa Gentry
Carissa Gentry is the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Certifying Official in the Center for Military Connected Students at the University of Louisville (UofL). Her love of the lakes in western Kansas led her to join the United States Navy. After completing her original enlistment contract, Carissa moved to western Kentucky. She earned an Associate of Applied Science in Business Administration from Owensboro Community and Technical College. In September 2004, she began her employment at the University of Louisville. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership and Learning and a Master of Science in Criminal Justice, both from the University of Louisville. Carissa is a two-time University of Louisville Presidential Excellence award winner for 2023, earning the Outstanding Performance Award and as a team member of the Center for Military Connected Students, the Team Impact Award. Her husband is an Area Supervisor for Papa Johns. They have five sons, one daughter, two granddaughters, a grandson, and several furry friends.

Kyle Hurwitz
Kyle Hurwitz is the Director of the Center for Military-Connected Students at the University of Louisville (UofL). After a twenty-year career, Kyle retired from the United States Air Force in 2018 and started at UofL. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Eastern Illinois University and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Oklahoma. He completed a Foreign Policy Fellowship at Georgetown University for Intermediate Developmental Education and is a graduate of the Joint Military Attaché School. His wife is the Distance Education Compliance Manager in the Delphi Center for Teaching and Learning at UofL. They have one daughter, and a wonder pup rescue dog.

Kristen Roy
Kristen Roy is a Program coordinator Sr. in the Center for Military Connected Students at the University of Louisville (UofL). Kristen has been employed at UofL for over 42 years. She has worked in several capacities, as a student and a permanent employee. Her love of the University and the students has been her focus all these years. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from the University of Louisville. Kristen lives right outside of Louisville in Oldham County with her husband. They have two daughters.
