Cardinal Drag Haus:

The Cardinal Drag Haus is a student organization dedicated to allowing students to explore the art of drag in a safe space for creativity and unique perspectives.

Our goal is to introduce students into the world of drag, allow local drag artists to express themselves in and out of the organization, get students involved in the community to support all forms of drag across the Louisville area, and celebrate the freedom of art.

Fellowship of Christian Queers:

The Fellowship of Christian Queers strives to meet the needs of queer Christians at the University of Louisville by creating a safe, affirming, welcoming space for worship, fellowship, and service. Our goals include...

1. Worshipping God in a way that honors our experiences as queer people.
2. Combatting homophobia and Christian Nationalism in our wider faith community.
3. Challenging the narrative surrounding Christianity within the queer community.
4. Providing safe places for queer students to worship in the Interfaith Center.
5. Discussing queer theology and biblical scholarship.
6. Putting our faith into action in service of Louisville’s queer community.

HSC Pride:

HSC is an active registered student organization with membership from across the Health Sciences Campus. Members include LGBTQ+ identified and allied students with an emphasis on inclusivity: all are welcome!

HSC Pride creates a welcoming campus climate for LGBTQ+ students and allies through educational and social programming. Programs include tabling at new student orientations, providing educational presentations, hosting network events with area health professionals, Pride Week in the fall term, and social events such as Pride Night at Kings Island.

Lambda Law Caucus:

Lambda Law Caucus is the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual/aromantic + (LGBTQIA+) student advocacy organization for the Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville. Lambda Law Caucus will advocate for LGBTQ+ student interests in the academic and legal communities.

RNbow Pride - Nursing Students Organization:

We wish to establish a student-run and faculty-supported student group in the School of Nursing that champions LGBTQIA+ students and their allies, promotes a safe place for nursing students who identify as LGBTQIA+ and their allies, encourages retention of nursing students who identify as LGBTQIA+, and creates a strong foundation for acceptance in the professional world.

SAGA (Sexuality and Gender Alliance):

SAGA works to empower and support people all across the spectrum. 

We are a student-run organization that focuses on LGBT+ rights, advocacy, and equity. We are UofL’s general LGBTQ+ student group. We welcome all - LGBTQ+ and allies - to join. 

Meetings are a safe space to discuss, socialize, and form connections. SAGA is also involved in hosting larger campus events to spread awareness of LGBTQ+ topics to the UofL community and beyond.

Shades:

Dedicated to empowering LGBTQ+ students of color, Shades includes both support for those who want to connect with helping others and public advocacy for our members who want to work on all forms of racism and homophobia on campus.

When Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said, "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere," he was explaining the way different expressions of prejudice tend to intersect. Students who live at the intersection of race and sexuality often find themselves battling more than one "ism" and the struggle can be difficult, to say the least.

We are a group that recognizes and supports diversity and intersectionality, especially those of gender, sexuality, and race. We welcome all students of color who identify as LGBTQ+ and their allies to join our group.

Meetings are a mix of informal gatherings and (for those who choose to participate) larger campus events that bring attention to the experience of LGBTQ+ people of color.

Speed Spectrum:

Speed Spectrum works to promote awareness of LGBTQ+ identities and challenges, as well as provide a safe space in Speed School for students, staff, and faculty. We aim to build a strong community, founded on understanding and acceptance. Though the group does focus on the needs of engineering students, it is open to students with all majors and degree programs.

LGBTQ+ engineers face a unique set of circumstances. The Speed Spectrum aims to ignite awareness of these specific challenges and works to provide a support system. We're here to help LGBT+ students navigate this challenging program while fostering individual growth.
