Students Return for First Spring 2014 Monday Mixer

On Monday January 13th, 2014, the LGBT Center hosted the first Monday Mixer of the year. Thirty-five students were in attendance, and several of the groups that function under the Center were represented. commonground and NewQue both spoke over their goals and meeting times.

During the Mixer, the current Ambassadors spoke of the Ambassador program. This is the fourth semester for the program.

AJ Jones spoke of the Diane Rigney Grant (a student activist grant). Examples of this grant: a student one year spoke on banned blood during a blood drive.

Two guests from outside the Center spoke; one was a representative form To Write Love On Her Arms (a program dedicated to ending self-harm), and a Dance Marathon that benefits children with cancer (an 18 hour dance marathon on February 4th, 2014).
