Reel 98 begins with correspondence from F. Julius Fohs, consulting geologist, Emanuel Neumann of the Jewish Agency for Palestine, Bernard Flexner, and Robert Szold discussing proposals to open Trans-Jordan lands to Jewish settlement. There is also a memorandum on irrigation, a proposed survey of the Hauran-Jaulan region, and discussion of plans to lease land in the Trans-Jordan area. Finally there are bulletins and reports from Jewish organizations overseas; press releases from the American Jewish Congress, July - November 1933, publicizing its efforts to help those expelled from Hitler's Germany; letters from Julius Simon and Bernard Flexner of the Palestine Economic Corporation; and executive committee minutes of the American Economic Committee for Palestine, January - October 1933.
