Reel 9 continues documentation of the Brandeis role in the Coal Strike Commission and also includes letters that discuss labor and trade unions, urban affairs, and government improvement schemes with notables such as Samuel Gompers, Edward A. Filene, James Barr Ames and Curtis Guild, Jr. A typescript of a speech, "The Incorporation of the Trade Union," that Brandeis delivered before the Suffolk Bar Association in 1903, as well as correspondence with Mrs. Roland C.
