Reel 70 Zionism-Palestine 1914-1915

At the beginning of reel 70, a plan is discussed between Brandeis and Chicago attorney Nathan D. Kaplan, and Professor Horace M. Kallen, University of Wisconsin, to establish a midwest Zionist bureau in Chicago. Letters between Brandeis and Benjamin Perlstein, administrative secretary of the Provisional Executive Committee for General Zionist Affairs, concerning the administration and financial affairs of the committee, of which Brandeis was chairman, are also found. Drafts of many of the addresses that Brandeis gave on behalf of the Zionists cause in 1914 and 1915, arranged in chronological order when identifiable, as well as notes and unidentified drafts, end this reel.
