Grading Policy and Deadlines
The University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law Student Handbook (Part M. Grade Reports and Grading Scale) provides the policy for grading unless otherwise updated by the UofL or law school administration. Any updates will be listed on this page.
Deadline Schedule
Final Grades should be entered into the system by the following dates:
•Upper Division Classes: TBD
•First Year Classes: TBD
These deadlines are important to certify graduating students before the date of graduation and to make financial aid available to students for the summer semester. The Dean or the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs can grant extensions to an individual faculty member if their personal or family circumstances make it very difficult or impossible to meet the grading deadlines. If you are having challenges or questions, please contact us to help you in whatever ways we can.
You will enter your grades in ULink by student name. After grading all exams with blind grade numbers, you will email the list to Betty Younis at betty.younis@louisville.edu. Betty will match blind grade numbers with names and will return the final list to you for entry. The email record is intended to maintain integrity of the blind grades.
If you have assignment scores from student projects or participation points, please send Betty Younis all project lists (with grades included) so that she can match exam numbers with names to allow you to calculate your final grades. You should submit all these grade components to Betty no later than TBD so that she can get them back to in time to meet the grading deadlines.
