Annually, in late winter, the IMD3 sponsors a symposium on contemporary topics reflecting the scientific interests of its members, featuring nationally and internationally regarded investigators. In addition to the distinguished visiting speakers, two featured speakers are selected from IMD3 faculty to showcase the research conducted by the Institute. The annual symposium attracts 100 - 150 participants from universities, industries and agencies throughout Kentucky and adjoining states. A poster session reflecting the broad spectrum of research conducted in the IMD3 is included in the half-day symposium.
