The liver is the largest and most complex internal organ in the body. While the liver plays a crucial role in the first line of defense against environmental toxins/toxicants, it is also susceptible to damage by these chemicals.

Registration

Researchers will share the latest findings on the role of environmental pollutants in liver disease. Students and researchers of all backgrounds are welcome to participate.

Nearby EPA Superfund sites and the historical proximity between residences and chemical industries has impelled some early research in toxic environmental factors of liver disease.
