Dr. Jafar Hadizadeh, geography and geosciences professor, will present in the Geography and Geosciences seminar on a newly funded research project from the National Science Foundation. He will provide an overview of research initiatives that will contribute to the current discussion of whether the creeping section of the San Andreas Fault in central California will remain in a stable aseismic mode as the historical records indicate, or strong seismic events are probable in the future.
