The Center for Healthy Air Water and Soil and Junior Achievement of Kentuckiana have partnered to create a Community Health Researcher job within JA's Sam Swope BizTown!  Just like the Envirome's team of researchers at the University of Louisville this Community Health Researcher observed residents of BizTown, conducted research through a survey about health, and presented their research findings.

Be a BizTown Community Health Researcher at Home

The Center for Healthy, Air, Water, & Soil and Junior Achievement of Kentuckiana have created three opportunities for students to become BizTown Community Health Researchers at home. Just like the Envirome's team of researchers at the University of Louisville, students have:

          1) Learned about healthy air, water, and soil,

          2) Formed a research question and hypothesis, 

          3) Conducted experiments, and

          4) Presented research findings to UofL from home!

When you share your results with us through the forms linked below, we'll mail you BizTown-themed Health Researcher certificate and Health Ambassador pin!

BizTown Health Ambassadors

When JCPS students attended Junior Achievement's BizTown, they learned about the connections between the environment and health from their Community Health Researcher.  They could also choose to learn about the Circle of Harmony and Health and how it can be used as a framework to help people understand and reflect on their health.

If you complete the At-Home Healthy Air Water and Soil Experiments and share your results with us, we'll mail you a BizTown-themed Health Researcher certificate and a Health Ambassador pin!
