Speed Spectrum

Student organization for LGBT and allied students at the J.B. Speed School of Engineering

Speed Spectrum works to promote awareness of LGBT+ identities and challenges, as well as provide a safe space in Speed School for students, staff and faculty. We aim to build a strong community, founded on understanding and acceptance. Though the group does focus on the needs of engineering students, it is open to students with all majors and degree programs.
  
LGBT+ engineers face a unique set of circumstances. The Speed Spectrum aims to ignite awareness of these specific challenges and works to provide a support system. We're here to help LGBT+ students navigate this challenging program while fostering individual growth.
