The purposes of Inventory Control/Surplus Property are to: 1) maintain correct and current information of departmental property inventory; 2) tag new equipment; 3) update inventory records of all items over $1,000 in value; and 4) approve the transfer of equipment and surplus property. (Purchasing Policy 33.00)
The Inventory Control/Surplus Property Office is located at 1901 S. Floyd Street in a warehouse with a loading dock to facilitate receipt, storage and sale of surplus property. The phone number to the main office is (502) 852-6131. Hours of operation are 8am–12pm and 1pm–4:30pm.
