Admissions Requirements

In order to submit an application to one of the School of Public Health and Information Sciences (SPHIS) degree programs, you must apply to the University of Louisville Graduate School. Admission requirements for each SPHIS degree program are listed below.

Fall semester – July 1 (International applicants); July 25 (Domestic applicants).

Spring semester – Applications are not accepted.

Summer semester – April 1 (International applicants); April 15 (Domestic applicants).

MS in Biostatistics

Fall semester – July 1 (International applicants); July 25 (Domestic applicants).

Certificate in Clinical Investigation Sciences

Fall semester - Completed applications and all required application materials are due by August 1.

International students are encouraged to apply no later than 120 days prior to the start of the fall semester. 

Spring semester – Accepted with Program Director approval.

Summer semester – Applications are not accepted.

MSc in Clinical Investigation Sciences

Fall semester - Completed applications and all required application materials are due by August 1.

International students are encouraged to apply no later than 120 days prior to the start of the fall semester. 

Spring semester – Accepted with Program Director approval.

Summer semester – Applications are not accepted.

MS in Epidemiology

Fall semester - March 1 (International applicants); April 1 (Domestic applicants).

MS in Health Administration

Evening Track: Applications are accepted for Fall semester only.

  • March 1st  for International applicants
  • July 1st  for Domestic applicants
  • To be competitive for available program scholarship opportunities, applicants should apply on or before March 1st for full consideration.

Spring semester: - Applications are not accepted.

Summer semester - Applications are not accepted.

 

Executive Track: Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

MS in Health Data Analytics

Fall semester – Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Applications preferred by July 1st

Domestic student are encouraged to apply no later than 30 days prior to the start of the fall semester.

International students encouraged to apply no later than 120 days prior to the start of the fall semester. 

Spring semester – Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Applications preferred by November 1st.

Domestic student are encouraged to apply no later than 30 days prior to the start of the fall semester.

International students encouraged to apply no later than 120 days prior to the start of the fall semester. 

Summer semester – Applications are not accepted.

Master of Public Health (MPH)

Fall semester – March 1 (International applicants). Applications are accepted on a rolling basis for domestic students.

Domestic student are encouraged to apply no later than 30 days prior to the start of the fall semester.

Spring semester – Applications are not accepted.

Summer semester – Applications are not accepted.

PhD in Biostatistics

Fall semester – Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

PhD in Public Health Sciences - Epidemiology

Fall semester - January 1 (International applicants); February 1 (Domestic applicants)

Fall semester –  March 1.

Applications received after the priority admission deadline will be considered on a space-available basis.

PhD in Public Health Sciences - Health Promotion & Behavioral Sciences

Fall semester – March 1 (International applicants); March 31 (Domestic applicants).

Applications received by December 31 will receive first consideration for admission and funding. Those received after December 31 will be considered based on availability of space in the program.
