Martha Popescu

Martha Popescu has earned the Boren Scholarship to Krakow, Poland, where she will study Polish and Language Culture at Jagiellonian University.

Boren Scholarships, sponsored by the National Security Education Program, provide undergraduate and graduate students in all fields of study with funding for up to one year of immersive study abroad in languages and regions of interest to U.S. national security.

“I am honored and excited to be the recipient of the Boren Scholarship to Poland. Not only will I use this experience to hone my language and cultural exchange skills, but also to seek out critical, personal perspectives on the current high-stakes international relations in the region."

Undergraduate Achievements:

Graduated May 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in anthropology with a minor in Spanish. Grawemeyer Scholar.
