Eli Cooper has earned a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship to teach English in the Slovak Republic.

The Fulbright U.S. Student Program offers research, study and teaching opportunities in more than 140 countries to recent graduates and graduate students. Administered in the U.S. by the Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, the Fulbright program was established in 1946 to promote international goodwill through education and cultural exchange.

The passion that I decided to pursue while attending the University of Louisville was international human rights law. While the Covid-19 pandemic interrupted much of our ability to travel and gain international experience, taking on a Fulbright ETA means that I will be able to take the skills and lessons from my time at the university and apply it to an international experience bigger than myself."
