2021 Fulbright Scholar
Hannah White has earned a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship to Galicia, Spain.
The Fulbright U.S. Student Program offers research, study and teaching opportunities in more than 140 countries to recent graduates and graduate students. Administered in the U.S. by the Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, the Fulbright program was established in 1946 to promote international goodwill through education and cultural exchange.
“Receiving this award feels like the culmination of years of hard work, and I could not be more honored to represent the University of Louisville as a Fulbright ETA. I hope to carry with me all the lessons and stories of my time in Louisville to my future community in Spain."
Undergraduate Achievements:
Graduated May 2021 with bachelor's degree in history with minors in philosophy, social change, Spanish, humanities and women's, gender and sexuality studies.

Dr. Clare Sullivan, associate professor of Spanish; Dr. Catherine Fosl, professor in the women's, gender and sexuality studies department; Luke Buckman, assistant director for student programming and development; Lauren Hansen (athletics) and Heather Stein (admissions), "you are both the best employers a person could ask for and the university is made better by all the work you do in supporting students;" and Drs. Bethany Smith and Charlie Leonard, who oversee national and international scholarships at UofL.
