The Theranostic Ultrasound Laboratory contains resources for ultrasound imaging and therapy applications involving targeted delivery of molecular therapeutics, including:
- Research ultrasound system (Verasonics Vantage 64LE)
- Fully programmable ultrasound imaging and therapy system for preclinical research (B-mode, M-mode, color Doppler, spectral Doppler, etc.), the only one of its kind in Kentucky
- Clinical ultrasound probes (1-12 MHz)
- Custom synthesis of novel ultrasound imaging and therapeutic delivery agents, including custom-designed microbubble formulations
- Microfluidic devices for experimental manipulation and analysis of cells
- Experiment chambers for in vitro studies, including ultrasound treatment of cultured cells
