Dr. Tracy Eells has served as Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs since 2011. He has been a member of the faculty of the University of Louisville for twenty-five years.
Dr. Eells’ primary area of scholarship is psychotherapy research, particularly clinical expertise in case formulation and computer-assisted cognitive-behavior therapy for depression. He has also published on academic issues such as promotion and tenure and post-tenure review. He was a visiting professor at the Vietnam National University (Hanoi) in 2010 and was named a fellow of the American Psychological Association Society for the Advancement of Psychotherapy in 2011.
Dr. Eells chaired the Kentucky Board of Examiners of Psychology from 2003 to 2004 and was a member of the Association of American Medical Colleges Group on Faculty Affairs Transition Committee from 2006 to 2007.
From 2006 to 2016 he served as Executive Officer of the Society for Psychotherapy Research, an international, multidisciplinary scientific organization.
He maintains memberships in a number of professional organizations, including the American Psychological Association and the Kentucky Psychological Association. He is a licensed Psychologist in the Commonwealth of Kentucky (KY-00839).
