Administrator Search Process

 

The University of Louisville has 13 academic deans, four in units housed on the Health Sciences Center campus and nine in units housed on the Belknap campus. The Provost's Office of Faculty Affairs coordinates searches for deans on the Belknap campus and the Executive Vice President for Health Affairs Office coordinates searches for deans on the Health Sciences Center campus. The search process for Deans is described in Redbook Section 3.2.1.

Searches for other administrators are coordinated by the office to which the administrator would report.

Administrator Review Process

Deans of the academic units receive annual performance reviews from the Executive Vice President and University Provost. Every five years, a comprehensive review of the dean's performance and overall effectiveness of the unit administration is conducted as described in Redbook Section 3.2.3.

Other administrators receive annual performance reviews from the person to whom the administrator reports.
