Dual Badging Workshops for Daisies and Brownies
Space Science Explorer (Daisies) and Space Science Adventurer (Brownies):
Daisies explore and observe the sun, moon and stars while looking at the sky and talking about what they see – just like real space scientists! Brownies investigate the complexities of the sky and learn to see things in new ways.
The dual workshops are scheduled TBD
The Space Science Explorers (Daisies) must have one adult per four girls to help the Daisies with activities that require fine motor skills.
Space Science Investigator (Juniors): Juniors venture through the Solar System and beyond, seeing that space is even bigger than they may have imagined. They explore the vast universe in our virtual space ship, going to the edges of the known universe. The workshops are TBD
Space Science Researcher (Cadettes): Cadettes go on a fascinating journey to explore visible and “invisible” light and see the stars in a new way. A virtual ride in the planetarium’s spaceship will allow Cadettes to expand their view of the night sky and inspire ideas for ways to conserve the night sky through reduction in light pollution. The workshop is TBD:
Dual Badging Workshops for Seniors and Ambassadors: Space Science Expert (Seniors) and Space Science Master (Ambassadors): Senior Girl Scouts develop a deeper understanding of the universe including our place in it and how light is used to make discoveries about it. Ambassador Girl Scouts explore the exciting world of space science as well as career paths with NASA now 
and in the future. The workshop is TBD:
Cost for Brownie, Daisy, Junior, and Cadette Girl Scout Workshops:
$17/Girl Scout; $5/adult (includes cost of badge for scout)
Cost for dual Senior and Ambassador Girl Scout Workshop:
$25/Girl Scout; $5/adult (includes cost of badge for scout and telescope)
Notes:
Workshops can be cancelled due to weather, low enrollment or other issues.
Troops are welcome to contact the planetarium about scheduling additional workshops outside of the ones listed above. Contact us at (502-852-5828) or planet"at"louisville.edu). Any additional workshops must have a minimum of 14 Girl Scouts and 2 adults.
