Hepatobiology & Toxicology COBRE

The Hepatobiology & Toxicology COBRE brings together experienced senior mentors and promising junior investigators from across UofL, the US, and the World to perform cross-cutting research on the unique topics of Hepatobiology and Toxicology. A multidisciplinary group of senior mentors and junior investigators focus on the mechanisms and therapy for liver injury, nutrition, and environmental interactions.

Hepatobiology & Toxicology COVID-19 Recommendations

  1. Support no foreign travel.
  2. Discourage domestic travel.
  3. Each funded investigator will develop contingency plans, including ordering supplies (supply chain issues) and planning for animal experiments.
  4. Plan on how to care for our animals under potentially reduced staffing conditions
  5. Develop contingency plans for monitoring freezer outages and other such issues.
  6. Develop plans related to clinical trials: call patients and give them a brief questionnaire, and minimize the number of visits for testing.
  7. Discontinue all outside speakers until further notice.
  8. Discontinue large research conferences.  Encourage investigators to have individual, smaller research conferences within their groups.
  9. Everyone should stay home if they have flu-like symptoms, after informing their supervisors.
  10. Everyone has been instructed on issues related to hand washing, personal space, etc.

Join InNetUniversity of Louisville Investigator Network is a community of researchers. Its mission is to foster and facilitate collaborations among researchers and trainees by creating an environment that values and supports investigators with diverse research interests. Its searchable database is the network’s tool for querying expertise and establishing professional connections for team science. InNet will represent the diverse spectrum of scientific expertise and skills that exist at UofL and the affiliated institutions in our community.
