High School
Paighton is a graduate of Campbell County High School, where she served as secretary of the Beta Honors Society, was a member of the Principals' Advisory Council and National Honors Society and was an award-winning varsity cheerleader. She was a state and regional award-winning member of the Family Career and Community Leaders of America, serving as regional vice president of community service and first vice president of the local chapter. She was also part of the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce Regional Youth Leadership Class. Paighton, the daughter of Stephanie Scott and Malcolm Brooks, was a 2019 Kentucky Governor's Scholar.
Receiving the McConnell Scholarship will allow me to meet and learn from incredible people while being in the community with other leadership-driven students. I can't wait to see how the program serves as a catalyst for personal growth and all the opportunities it will bring.
