The University of Louisville Women’s Center and Women 4 Women Student Board are raising awareness of human trafficking in Kentucky by educating students and the community about this complex issue and encouraging taking action to prevent it. This year’s conference will focus on the sexual exploitation and trafficking of youth. Speakers and breakout sessions to be announced soon.
The Conference will be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 5:30-8:30pm with doors opening at 5pm in the UofL Student Activities Center Ballroom with a resource fair. Dr. Jennifer Cole from the University of Kentucky will be presenting her new research as our keynote speaker, with 2 breakout sessions (4 each session for 45 min) concluding with a call to action from a Survivor’s Panel. Those attending the conference will need to register via Eventbrite and tickets are being reserved quickly!
We are also looking for students to be on the planning committee and volunteer at the event. If interested, email womenctr@louisville.edu.
