AmeriCorps JD Application Deadline Extended- $1,230 Segal Educational Award for Public Interest Service

The Equal Justice Works AmeriCorps JD program provides law students with the opportunity to deliver critically needed legal assistance in low-income and underserved communities across the country. If you will be interning with a civil services organization this summer, additional funding might be available. Equal Justice Works once again has AmeriCorps service opportunities for nearly 900 law students seeking to gain public interest legal experience and serve their communities in the areas of veterans, employment, immigration, elder justice, and disaster legal services. AmeriCorps JD members will join a network of other law students and attorneys already serving in the field, will receive web-based training seminars throughout the summer, and will receive the Segal Education Award of $1,230 after the successful completion of a 300 hour term of service.
